Forsyth Fire Department
 
 

The mission of the Forsyth Fire Department is to safely provide the highest level of professional fire protection, fire prevention, and emergency medical care possible to the visitors and citizens of Forsyth.

The Forsyth Fire Department provides and delivers Public Safety services to the residents of Forsyth through one fire station; these services include public educations, fire safety inspections, arson investigations, fire suppression, emergency medical first responder, fire fighting and hazardous material response. The Department currently has a combination of 6 full time and 10 part time members working 24 hours on and 48 hours off.

The city currently has an ISO rating of 5 with an average response time of 2-3 minutes. The City of Forsyth also has an Automatic Aid agreement with the Monroe County Fire Department. The Forsyth Fire Department during the calendar year 2008 answered 724 calls for assistance.
