Citizen Compliments, Comments & Concerns

Mayor and Council welcome public input. If you have a compliment, comment or concern to share, contact your representative on the Mayor & Council via e-mail. You may arrange to come to a council meeting by contacting the City Clerk, (478) 994-5649 ext. 116

Requests to be on the Agenda

Attending Council Meeting In Person:

• If you need to present an issue before the Council, please send your request to be placed on the agenda to the City Clerk’s Office.

• Requests must include: 1) date of the council meeting, 2) contact information (author’s home address, telephone, signature and date), and 3) a written summary of the topic.

• Written notice may be sent via mail, fax, or e-mail.

• Requests must be received by 3:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to the meeting.

Unable to Attend Council Meeting:

• If for any reason you can not attend a council meeting and you have an interest in making a statement, you may send your written comments to the City Clerk.

• Written comments must include: 1) the date of the council meeting, 2) contact information (author’s home address, telephone, signature, and date), and 3) a written summary addressing the specific agenda item.

• Written comments should be: 1) succinct, clear, and non-repetitive in nature, 2) directed towards the Council, not to the citizenry at large or persons other than the Council, and 3) appropriate speech – free of inflammatory rhetoric and inappropriate statements lacking civility.

• Written notice may be sent via mail, fax, or e-mail (e-mail comments must have independent verification of author’s identify).

• Written comments must be received by 3:00 P.M. on the Friday prior to the meeting.

Public Notice:

All meetings of the City of Forsyth and its appointed boards are open to the public. Any interested party should make plans to attend.

Subject to Change without Notice:

This posting indicates the regular meeting schedule. Meetings may be subject to rescheduling due to quantity of work items, quorum conflicts, or relocation. Please
contact the City Clerk’s Office at (478) 994-5649 ext. 116 to confirm the meeting, its agenda, or for additional information.
