Public Works

The dedicated team at the Public Works Department quietly and diligently goes about getting the work done. The department ensures that the city functions smoothly and that residents enjoy a high quality of life. From maintaining our streets and roadways and managing stormwater systems to maintaining our sidewalks and street signs and keeping our streets and cemeteries clean, the Public Works Department's efforts are integral to the infrastructure and aesthetics of the city.

Garbage

Residential customers must have city utilities to be eligible for city garbage pick-up. The monthly fee is $15. The commercial service fee is based on the number of pick-up times per week and the amount of waste. No deposit is required.
Large debris pick-up is also available, please call City Hall at 478-994-5649 to schedule a large debris pick-up.

Recycling

Recycling is a quick and easy way we can work together to protect our environment.

Recycle materials will be picked up on Tuesday of each week. Items included in the recycling program are cardboard, white paper, shredded paper, newspaper, junk mail, magazines, aluminum, tin, and plastic (#1-7).
