Forsyth Main Street

Forsyth Main Street is a non-profit (501(c) (3)) organization dedicated to revitalizing downtown Forsyth through Business and Economic Development. The initiative of our organization follows The Main Street Four-Point Approach® (developed by The National Trust for Historic Preservation) that has been proven to build a sustainable and complete community revitalization effort. The four points include: the organization of everyone to work toward a common goal, the promotion of the commercial district to encourage a positive image for consumers and investors, capitalizing on the historic design of the community, and economic restructuring which strengthens a communities assets. To learn more about our efforts please visit The National Trust for Historic Preservation.

During the year, Forsyth Main Street actively plans events for kids of all ages.  At the end of April, Forsyth Main Street hosts a free concert for the community to enjoy on the square in downtown Forsyth. As we spring into action, May brings the delicious mouth-watering taste of homegrown vegetables and fresh fruits found exclusively at our City of Forsyth Farmer’s Market. Supporting Georgia grown, healthy options to fill your table with only the best our state has to offer. Our Live on the Square Concert Series attracts families from around the state for food, fun and dancing on the square.  Be sure to check our detailed event calendar for the entire list of exciting festivities we have scheduled.
