The City of Forsyth's Electrical Department provides dependable, competitively priced electrical services to the citizens of the City of Forsyth and parts of Monroe County. As a member of "The Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia (MEAG)" and "Electric Cities of Georgia", we are mandated to continually improve our existing electrical system, provide additional services to our customers, and enhance the overall quality of life within our community.
OFFICIAL PUBLIC NOTICE: As of May 2021, Online access/payments will not be allowed for unpaid utility payments for all accounts that are on the cut-off list. Designated cut-off dates are on the 4th and 18th of each month. If either date falls on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, the cut-off date will be on the following Monday.

Electric Meter Department
The Forsyth Electric Meter Department is a 3 person operation under the leadership of Steven Sikes. The Meter Department ensures the city’s combined 6,000 electric and water meters are read correctly and in a timely manner.
